• Fully Revamped Christmas Event

  • The Christmas event has been completely redesigned with brand-new mechanics: marked tile challenges, new waves of paralyzing snow projectiles, and a much fairer participation calculation. Rewards now scale with both performance and level, making the event more balanced and engaging.

• Major Release of the “Obliterator” Quest

  • A brand-new legendary quest is now available! Face unique challenges, defeat powerful bosses, and earn exclusive weapons such as the Abyssal Sword, Axe, Hammer, Crossbow, Bow, and Wand.

• Rashid Access Quest

  • A completely new storyline to unlock Rashid, featuring custom dialogues, NPCs, special interactive items (breakable vase, piggy bank), and unique progression rules.

✨ New Features

• Rookstayer / Rookwarden Vocations

  • New vocations for the Rooker Kingdom, including automatic migration for eligible characters, PvP restrictions between rookers and non-rookers, access to light magic, and depots.

• Custom Status Effect Icons

  • New visual icons for effects such as Perseverance, Berserk, and Sharpshooter, making status effects clearer and easier to track.

• Daily Mana Points Reward Cap

  • Characters above the level cap now only receive daily Mana Points if they have active bonuses.

🔧 Improvements

• Elite monster gold rewards are now dynamically calculated based on the defeated creature.

• Monster fleeing logic adjusted: creatures now only flee within their own spawn area.

• New items added to Zafar’s shop, with access rules adjusted for players who haven’t completed required missions.

🐛 Fixes

• Removed corpse highlight effects from players and summons after death.

• Fixed corpse highlight behavior when entering or leaving areas.

• Adjusted dialogues and blessings for NPC Pydar.

• House auction failures due to unpaid bids now correctly restart the auction.

🌟 Highlights

• “You can’t see anything” — Lighting System Overhaul

  • The lighting system has undergone a complete internal rework and now closely matches the behavior of the original classic Tibia 7.4 client. This includes proper light propagation across floors through holes and ladders, reimplemented time-based light transitions, and correct rendering of light sources even when they are off-screen or were never directly visible to the player.

• Attack Target Highlight

  • A new option allows you to highlight your current attack target with a pulsating red effect. Easily toggle it on or off in the interface options.

• Per-Character Configuration Management

  • Each character now has its own saved settings and interface layouts, preventing configuration “leaks” between accounts or characters.

✨ New Features

• Container Panel Visual Overlay

  • When selecting container panel options, panels are now highlighted and numbered, making selection clearer and more intuitive.

• Mana Points Button Glow Effect

  • Mana Point collect/spend buttons now feature a special glowing effect, enhancing visual feedback.

• Store Notification Customization

  • Configure how store notifications behave: hide confirmation dialogs, automatically close the store after purchases, and enable chat notifications.

• New Items in Loot Analyzer

  • Rare items such as Abyssal, Aurel, Hellforged, Crown, and others now appear in the Loot Analyzer, with updated sell prices.

🔧 Improvements

• Enhanced Light Propagation

  • Vertical lighting on stairs and holes is now more realistic, with color and intensity adapting properly during nighttime.

• Consistent Layout Restoration

  • Minimap, windows, and containers now always return to their correct positions, with no leftover “ghost” UI elements from previous sessions.

🐛 Fixes

• Realistic Examine Visibility

  • You can now only examine objects that are truly within your visual range and light radius — no more “extra-sensory vision”.

Important:
The Retronia Client requires a major and necessary update. Please restart your client after the Server Save to receive it.

After updating, we strongly recommend the following procedure:

1. Open the Options menu.

2. Click the Game Data button (second-to-last option).

3. Close the client.

4. In the folder that opens, delete all its contents.

5. Reopen the client.

Today Retronia received a new feature designed to improve visibility and looting flow during hunts.

Starting with the Server Save on November 29, Retronia will introduce Corpse Highlights — a visual effect that marks freshly killed creatures, helping players easily identify which corpses still need to be looted.
This effect also highlights corpses containing items with rarity.

How it works

• Only players who had the creature in their field of view at the moment of death will see the highlight effect.

• If the player moves too far away from the corpse, the highlight will no longer be visible.

• The highlight disappears once someone opens the corpse, or when the corpse advances to its next decay stage.

• If the corpse contains multiple rarity items, the highlight will display the highest rarity present.

You can enable or disable this feature in the client menu under Interface Options.

Client Auto-Updater Fix

We would also like to inform you that, starting now, the client’s auto-updater works correctly for the executable files.
Players will no longer need to re-download the entire client from the website after each update.

oday Retronia received a cumulative update that brings new features, improvements, and fixes.

Bonus Status

The Skills window will now display visual highlights whenever your character is using equipment or weapons that provide bonus MAX HP/MP, Speed, Magic Level, Club, Sword, Axe, Distance, or Shield.

Damage Analyzer (New Module)

Players can now analyze both dealt and received damage, including the elemental type of each hit.
This module is located alongside the Loot and Exp Analyzers.

Bestiary

Players will now receive an informative message whenever a new creature entry is unlocked.
The message also includes the elite spawn chance for each tier.

Elite Loots

Amazon Legs and Amazon Boots have been added as drops from Elite creatures.

Critical Hit

A progressive critical damage bonus has been added for melee and distance weapon hits, scaling with the character’s Axe, Club, Sword, and Distance Fighting skills.
Rune and spell damage remains unchanged.

Exp Analyzer

A new “Creatures Killed” section has been added, showing all creatures defeated during the session — including Elites.

Bestiary Improvements

General navigation has been improved, including support for mouse forward/back buttons.
The Bestiary Tracker now features an organized list, the ability to open creature info with a left-click, and the option to remove entries with a right-click.

NPC Trade Module

Opening the trade window is now more intuitive:
either left-click the NPC directly or left-click it through the Battle window.

Creatures

Fixed a rare issue where some creatures could walk over fields they were not immune to.
(This does not apply to creatures in “panic” mode.)

Elite Creatures

Fixed an issue where Elite creatures with Copycat remained invisible after taking damage.
Elite creatures now spawn immediately after each tier is completed.

X-Logging

Characters with PZ lock while in a party are now disconnected when exiting the client using the Exit button.

AFK Kick

Characters with PZ lock while in a party are now properly disconnected when AFK.

Dummy Training

Players with PZ lock can only train on Dummy Targets if the lock comes from being in a party.

Battle List

The window now correctly remembers and restores the player’s previous size settings between logins and other scenarios.

With this update, the Retronia OTClient must be updated after the Server Save.
Please restart your client afterward to ensure all required updates are applied correctly.

Retronia will receive some updates starting from tomorrow’s Server Save, bringing new features and fixes!

📡 Minimap Radar

• All your party members now appear on the minimap with the same shield icons shown above their characters (leadership, XP sharing, etc.).

• The icons pulse periodically, updating your teammates’ positions in real time.

• Distance is not an issue — you’ll see your team on the map no matter how far they are.

• Hover over an icon to see a tooltip with the player’s name, level, and vocation (e.g., “Luanzera – Level 100 – Elite Knight”).

• In the client options under Interface, there’s a checkbox called “Show Party Minimap Icons”, enabled by default. Uncheck it if you prefer to hide the markers.

⏳ Away Mode on the VIP List

• It’s now easier to know who’s actually online.

• When a character stays idle for half the time before the inactivity kick, they automatically enter Away mode.

• That player’s name will appear orange in your VIP list.

• If you’ve enabled notifications for that friend, you’ll now get separate alerts for “went AFK” and “returned from AFK”, in addition to login/logout notifications.

• As soon as the player moves, speaks, or performs any action, they exit Away mode.

💬 “Player is typing...”

• When chatting privately (PM) with another player, you’ll now see in real time when they’re typing — just like in modern chat apps.

🗺️ Map Adjustments

• Several map tweaks have been made to improve gameplay flow and aesthetics.

• Some Zarhama respawns have also been adjusted for better balance and performance.

⚙️ Fixes & Adjustments

• Abyssal Amulet and Abyssal Ring added to the crafting system.

• Jewels can no longer drop or be crafted with Increased Skills (only Melee Fighting, Distance Fighting, or Magic).

• Ice Rapier now drops with proper rarity.

• Items now sell correctly through the trade module with the Halloween Event NPC.

With this update, the Retronia OTClient must be updated after the Server Save.

🏇 THE KNIGHT OF SHADOWS

Every day, the knight “Bring me the Halloween” rides from the gates of Demona to Ghost Land at three secret times (between 07:00 and 01:00 GMT -3).
The entire world will receive alerts before his arrival, no excuses to miss it.

During his journey, he summons an army of Pumpkinheads, ghouls, mummies, spiders, and bats.
Each time he’s struck, showers of rewards fall to the ground: Halloween Coins, exclusive outfit scrolls, pumpkins, and pumpkin heads. 🎁

⚖️ THE OUTCOME

• If the knight is defeated:
  The cry of “Trick or treat!” echoes, and ten seconds later Thais and Rookgaard go into full alert.
  Hordes of Pumpkinheads and the Halloween Hare swarm the streets for hours, the perfect moment to farm coins, protect newcomers, and earn legendary tales. 🏆

• If the knight escapes:
  Beware. Clouds of bats will appear anywhere on the map, haunting careless adventurers. 🦇

💰 HALLOWEEN COINS AND REWARDS

Save every Halloween Coin you find.
The merchant Halloween Undead is eager to trade them for full outfits (Brotherhood of Bones, Masked Ghost, Royal Pumpkin, Afflicted), add-ons, themed backpacks, and spooky decorations.
Pumpkin heads can also be exchanged for extra coins. 💀

🕵️ CITY SECRETS

Keep your eyes open for pumpkin ornaments hidden around the cities.
They conceal coins and sometimes a Pumpkinhead ready for a fight.
Each character can only claim one reward per ornament, so share the rumors with your friends. 🎃

🧟 ENERGIZED CREATURES

During the event, creatures glowing with orange energy are under the Halloween effect.
Among them: crypt shamblers, necromancers, vampires, nightmares, chimera, hydras, ogres, tar monstrosities, bats, spiders, trolls, and rats.

At higher levels, demons, grim reapers, serpent spawns, and dragons also appear energized.
Plan your hunting routes based on your level and enjoy the bonus across almost every biome, from necromancer caves to the hills of the hydras. ⚔️

🌙 THE ATMOSPHERE HAS CHANGED

Pentagrams drawn on the ground, mysterious candles, and new exploration trails now mark the lands of Retronia.
Recruit veterans, invite newcomers (they’ll face weaker versions of the monsters), and make the most of every minute. 🔥

Time has flown by, but every moment has been meaningful: countless stories lived, challenges overcome, friendships built, and achievements reached.

Throughout this path, we have always tried to preserve the nostalgic spirit that united us from the very beginning, while learning, improving, and growing together with you.

None of this would have been possible without the players who believed and continue to believe in Retronia. Every login, every hunt, every word in the chat is part of building this community that keeps the server alive and strong to this day.

We will remain steady, with the commitment to improve each day and to provide a space where everyone can have fun, relive memories, and create new ones.

Today Retronia received a cumulative update that brings new features, improvements, and fixes!

Hometown Teleport Scroll (Store)

With this new scroll, you will channel for 10 seconds to teleport your character from anywhere to the temple of your hometown.
Usage rules: You must not have been involved in PvP situations outside your party in the last 15 minutes. If you move during the channeling, the action will be canceled.

Home Teleport Scroll (Store)

Works the same way as the Hometown Teleport Scroll, but it will take you to your house.
Usage rules: the same as the Hometown Teleport Scroll.

Express Mailbox Scroll (Store)

With this new scroll, you will channel for 5 seconds to summon a mailbox that lasts for 3 minutes before disappearing. You will also receive a parcel and a label in your backpack.
Usage rules: the same as the Hometown/Home Teleport Scrolls, but only the player who summoned the mailbox can use it.

Great Mana Fluid (Store)

Restores between 350 and 450 mana. Sold in packs with 20 charges.
Usage rules: the same as the smaller mana fluid, but with a cooldown of 10 seconds between uses, and you must not have been involved in PvP situations outside your party in the last 15 minutes.

New Premium Scrolls (Store)

Now available in 180-day and 365-day versions.

Balancing

• Tar Priest: health increased.

• Now immune to energy.

• Defense increased.

• Some loot drops nerfed.

Improvements

• Runes obtained from daily rewards now have a visual distinction when expired.

• Lag Protection system now detects “spikes.”

• The Blessing Checker item is now soulbound and eligible for use with the Soulbound Refunder. Soon, an NPC will appear selling all blessings at once, charging a small fee and requiring a Blessing Checker in your possession.

Fixes

• Players can no longer equip two wands simultaneously.

• NPCs no longer wrap non-pickable/non-moveable items into backpacks.

• Blessing NPCs (Edala, Eremo, Norf, Pydar) now charge correctly based on your level, across all keyword synonyms.

• The corpse of Tar Priest now disappears correctly.

• Fixed unexpected behavior where gold coins were sent to the backpack when a Gold Pouch was present.

Retronia OTClient

• Minimap: navigation button fixes for both the top-panel version and the Expanded View (Ctrl+Shift+M).

• Animated text for experience and damage dealt/received now stacks correctly, as expected from the classic 7.x client.

• Added Discord Rich Presence support, which shows your activity to other users while you play Retronia.

• New sprites for all scrolls.

With this OTClient update, we had to change all files for security reasons, so you may see many files being updated. Some conflicts may occur with the auto-updater. If you experience problems after updating, please follow this procedure:

• In the Options menu, click Restore Cache. This will remove the data.zip file, which is used for identifying updated files.

The mobile version will have its APKs updated soon. We will announce it as soon as it’s ready!

Here’s what’s coming with the next server save:

• Access Quest – speak with NPC Tharold in Edron.
• New skill: Crafting – gain experience by forging, dismantling, or ascending your items.
• Item Ascension – upgrade your equipment to new heights, with a chance of failure and risk of breaking.
• Remote Access – use a special item from the Game Store to open the Crafting interface from anywhere.
• Guaranteed Experience – even failed attempts grant skill XP, but be mindful of your materials!
